As Sport Development Coach I work directly with BYTE participants, facilitating sport and enrichment instruction and activities in San Quentin & Juvenile Hall justice sites. Additionally, responsible for mentoring vulnerable participants using a trauma-informed coaching framework. Session plans vary and can include multiple sports, art, or enrichment content. Essential Functions: ● Professionally represents BYTE in dynamic public health and detention spaces ● Facilitates BYTE approved program content at within Juvenile Hall (youth & TAY) & San Quentin Rehabilitation Center (Adults) program sites ● Assists in developing program content and activities ● Supports management of program administration (ie. registration, attendance, survey gathering) ● Completes designated professional development in trauma-informed coaching, social/emotional learning (SEL), and positive youth mentorship ● Attends program team meetings ● Maintains strong communication with BYTE Executive Director and program management ● Facilitate healing circles, restorative justice and body mind education; including mindfulness, EQ & meditation - behavioral health modalities.

Students engage with entrepreneurial firms through consulting opportunities. Cases and business problems are employed to simulate tools and skills required to solve real-life problems. Students visit entrepreneurial companies in Spain, Taiwan, China and the San Francisco Bay Area. Riordan Fellow Alumni- The Riordan MBA Fellows Program at the Anderson School of Management at UCLA targets recent college graduates who are considering graduate education in business management. Its core purpose is to educate, prepare, and motivate these individuals to competitively apply and succeed in a top MBA program and a career in management. This transformational experience will help professionals expand their network, build their leadership skills and community service profile.

Summer public health fellowship. A cohort of college students throughout the United States. The specific aim of the program is to provide practical experience in public health. I worked at CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) while concurrently taking public health courses including Epidemiology and health policy and management courses. This program represents the combined efforts of the Morehouse School of Medicine, Emory University, Rollins School of Public Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
