The campaign investigated particle generation and transformation under controlled laboratory conditions, with emphasis on how physicochemical properties evolve across different operating scenarios. Particular focus was placed on particle morphology, size distribution, and chemical composition, and their relevance to exposure-relevant aerosol metrics. • Supported execution of controlled laboratory experiments involving aerosol generation and measurement under varying operating conditions. • Assisted in the setup, calibration, and optimization of experimental instrumentation to ensure stable and reproducible data acquisition. • Performed TEM and SEM image analysis to characterize particle morphology, structure, and size distribution at micro- and nano-scale. • Analyzed experimental datasets to evaluate variations in particle properties across different operating conditions. • Conducted exposure assessment modeling using lung-deposited surface area (LDSA) as a metric to evaluate particle deposition in the human respiratory system and its implications for inhalation exposure. • Contributed to project findings that were disseminated through scientific publications.
