Hands On Atlanta tackles Greater Atlanta's most pressing needs by igniting a passion for service and creating lifelong community volunteers. Since its founding in 1989, Hands On Atlanta has grown to become one of the largest community-based volunteer service organization in the United States and a model studied and replicated across dozens of other communities.Hands On Atlanta is a non-profit organization that helps individuals, families and corporate and community groups find flexible volunteer opportunities at more than 400 service organizations and schools. Hands On Atlanta volunteers are at work every day of the year building community and meeting pressing needs in schools, parks, senior homes, food banks, pet shelters, low-income neighborhoods and more. Hands On Atlanta is an affiliate of the HandsOn Network, an umbrella association of "Cares" and "Hands On" organizations across the United States, U.K. and other countries.
