Duties and Responsibilities:- • Receive and analyze of tenders from our oil & gas partners. • Prepare the financial, technical offers and bill of materials required for the tenders. • Follow up all corrosion & inspection activities with technical team. • Develop a plan for site survey to identify which cathodic Protection system is required for corrosion mitigation. • Conduct Non-Destructive Tests (NDT) to insure the integrity of the structure before protect it and make the required repairs. • Participate in cathodic protection design by providing the site factors involving in the calculations of required electrical current. • Installation of different cathodic protection systems like galvanic systems and impressed current systems according to design. • Monitoring and maintenance of cathodic protection system of pipelines, tanks and all metallic structures above or underground. Egyptian Natural Gas Company (Gasco) Site & Project Engineer Cathodic protection system for carbon steel gas-oil transmission pipelines Project • Insure accuracy and highest level of quality and safety on all activities. • Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance involving visual inspection and UT (Ultrasonic Test) thickness measurement of pipelines to assess condition and determine what repairs are required. • Conduct welding Visual Inspection (VT), Magnetic Particles Inspection (MT), and Dye Penetrant Inspection (PT) for both old pipelines and new pipelines projects before applying the cathodic protection system. • Welding of cables required for cathodic protection test stations at distances estimated according to NACE Standards. • Supporting Cathodic Protection (CP) activities, conducting Potential Survey of Step-down transformers-rectifiers, soil resistivity checks, and supervision of CP anodes ground bed for new construction pipelines.
