- Product development of new A2L light commercial units 3-6 Tons using R454b and qualifying them per UL 60335-2-40. - Conduct detailed thermo-fluid analysis of current and new products using analytical methods, in-house design tools/software and other commercial software. - Conduct necessary background research, analysis and testing of various design options as it relates to key requirements including applicable product and test standards, performance, cost, manufacturability, installability, serviceability and project schedule, scope and cost. - Coordinate activities as necessary with other functions such as Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance etc. to ensure successful completion of projects. - Actively engage with vendors of various components and sub-systems to successfully develop the product through active collaboration, specification, review, evaluation, and analysis of the purchased parts. - Investigate and troubleshoot product design related problems and opportunities, documenting finds and performing corrective/improvement changes. - Identify opportunities for product improvements and exploits these through design modifications. - Create reports and presentations on product and project activities periodically and as required. - Manage projects of large and small scale, to ensure project is executed within time, cost and budget constraints. - Knowledge of the Rheem’s product, design, engineering, and service capabilities, as well as manufacturing and quality standards. - Acquire in-depth knowledge of Rheem’s and competitive products and keep abreast of industry activities and product and technology trends.

- Designed mechanical parts and assembly drawings in Creo and performed testing to capture design intent and document the key aspects necessary to accomplish the manufacturing goals of a project. Release of drawings and (BOM) Bill of Material. - Test air conditioners and heat pumps according to AHRI Standard 210/240 and ASHRAE Standard 37-2009 at our lab facilities in DTTP “Daikin Texas Technology Park” to verify our ratings and ensure successful supplier integration prior to any component change. - Design of sheet metal, tubing and plastic components and develop manufacturing drawings as per specifications in compliance with company group standards and practices relevant to various product lines. - Determined the use of specific design approaches and parameters and conducted feasibility studies on new designs - Gather, analyze and interpret customer project specifications, set project timeline, status reporting and issue resolution documentation to provide high level of guidance to the team. - Worked on new product development by performing simulation to ensure accuracy of systems Design, Development, Integration, Analysis and Testing. - Responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards for environmental, mechanical, and safety. - Work with purchasing, quality, manufacturing and service to ensure cross-functional requirements are met. - Implement engineering changes by coordinating with multiple cross function teams through Engineering Change Request ECR management system.

-Work with designers to streamline design program and increasing heaters efficiency. -Work with sales team to develop designs to meet customer requirement taking in consideration UL,CE and RoHS standards. -Design machinery components and tooling to optimize the manufacturing process as tube cutters and nozzle fillers for cartridge heaters using Solidworks. -Evaluate equipment for purchase to optimize manufacturing process as Laser cutters, Laser welders, CNC machines and 3D Printers. -Evaluate materials for improved product quality and cost saving. -Perform life cycle testing on cartridge heaters as well as break load test on heaters ceramic cores to test their hardness. -Assisted in establishing performance management system by developing and documenting procedural-specific performance criteria for ISO 9000 international quality management certification.
