Social justice exemplifies one of my passions in life. Pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice taught me about empathy, communication, safety, integrity, working in unity, and thinking outside of the box. The University of North Texas provided many learning opportunities for me and allowed me to experience the real world through internships and to develop important skills like remaining calm, learning communication, and forming a relationship with people. My long term goals are to attend graduate school and attain my master's degree in social work. After experiencing internships through the University of North Texas and through myself, I have learned that I am very interested in using my criminal justice degree and incorporating social work. My short term goals are to continue to learn and acquire new skills.
