Marketview platform specialist working in an Agile Devops role.

Platform specialist in an Agile DevOps team. Supporting and managing a global Marketview trading platform. Working closely with internal and external infrastructure teams with numerous issues and deliverables. Promoting collaboration with other teams interfacing the platform, explaining Marketview infrastructure and best practices. Project work included: MTS co-location, fail-over strategy, a large PXE upgrade with ION premium support, database migrations, performance task force, conducted a platform review with ION and implemented findings and focused on several deliverables for the swaps desk. Following re-organisation provided help and training for the ION Platform Squad in Amsterdam.

To drive the Retail Distribution project, including among others: • act as the lead business analyst in respect to requirement gathering/documentation – liaising with business stakeholders; • design the required solution with development teams and write actionable specifications – in close coordination with senior managers in the IT organisation; • ensure all development and support teams involved, across eRates IT and other IT groups such as eCommerce and Support teams, understand requirements and foster a culture where they can effectively work together towards a shared goal; • plan deliverables, and document them in a realistic timeline; • act as lead tester in respect to functional, non-functional and user acceptance testing; • organise and chair all IT governance meeting on the project – including financials reporting (e.g. actuals, forecasts etc); • promote knowledge sharing within team members – taking active involvement in organising and chairing poker-sizing sessions with all concerned parties as and when required; • ensure smooth liaison with other teams, both inside and outside IT where appropriate (e.g. research/algo teams etc); • document new functionalities and train users/support teams support as appropriate; • gather continuous intelligence on the product’s performance, customers, problems and opportunities; and initiating functional improvements to meet changing customer needs

Second line Marketview team supporting platform BAU and functional changes from Santander's HQ in Madrid. The platform spans 2 main locations of Madrid and London. Primary focus on the EUR Swaps desk covering support, requirement capture, analysis and solution delivery via the Bank's change management process. Projects included redesign and implementation of a new MMI start script used globally, enabling quoting for asset swaps in BGC IRS and ISWAP by fixing a long standing Refdata issue and Liffe to ICE migration which impacted numerous platform components.

Part of the global Marketview team, working in London Ion Infrastructure – ensuring production trading system availability, troubleshooting production issues, house keeping and system monitoring, setting up new ECNs and maintaining existing systems. Responsible for all production releases involving the ION platform. Maintaining the staging platform and working closely with the development team and business analysts - providing technical assistance.

Front office support for bespoke bond pricing and trading systems incorporating ION gateways, tibco and Reuters infrastructure. Working in a global team, as a member of the Swiss regional support group. Projects included reworking various batch feeds, reports and migrated BOTs to Mindalign using Perl in a UNIX environment.

Third line Marketview support, part of a team managing and developing the ION platform, setting up new UNIX servers in liaison with various other infra and development teams.

Third line support for the Marketview production platform and liaising with third party ECNs. Managing the production, development and BCM platforms incorporating various Wintel, Solaris and Linux servers. Projects included setting up new ECNs, RCS version control for configuration files, charting statistical platform data using RRD and writing reusable support tools.

Specialised in enterprise database technologies using Oracle. Developed and implemented a client/server database system using Access VBA for Adventure Network Int. as part of dissertation.
