For many years I have been working on renewable energies in general and wind energy in particular. I gained profound experiences as a project manager for wind energy for one of the leading service providers in the field of market research and consulting for the energy industry. In addition, I expanded this knowledge of the wind sector during my doctorate on processes of product and value chain modularization, platform strategies, supplier relations and new organizational routines in wind turbine manufacturing.

My PhD thesis, on the other hand, deals with the modularization of the wind industry. It analyzes changes in the organization of the industry and in the relationship between manufacturers and suppliers. The introduction of modular products, the implementation of platform strategies and modified sourcing strategies such as global sourcing strategies, multiple-sourcing and the use of system integrators alter the traditional relationships and change the externalities of the industry.
