I am a doctoral student at the University of Oulu, in doctoral program of public health. I'm also part of multidisciplinary research group at the National Institute for Health and Welfare in Oulu. I’m writing my Ph.D. thesis on effect of childhood and youth circumstances on later mental health and early school leaving. I'm also data enthusiastic. I'm interested in insight management, data visualizing, ML-methods and agile methods. I’m using the 1987 Finnish Birth Cohort (FBC) dataset, which is longitudinal register based, nationwide follow-up dataset which includes a complete census of all 60 069 children born in single a year 1987 in Finland. Cohort members have been followed up to 2015. The 1987 FBC includes detailed documentation on children’s own and their parent’s health status and social circumstances from the perinatal period up to early adulthood. Research interests: social exclusion, childhood risk factors, mental health, epidemiology, life course approach, register-based study and statistical methods.
