My quality assurance role involves the detailed end user analysis and testing of software functionality so as to ensure that the end user receives high quality software that can be implemented in their companies. The software that St James Software develops is an Industry Standard Operator and Handover logbook system, which is crucial to the safety of the employees,and the smooth running of the plants. The industries that the software is implemented in includes the petrochemical industry, the power industry, in the particle accelerator industry, mining and processing industry etc.

Was mentored in understanding the basis of good software design. And was involved in small scale programming.

My role was accounting for the money in the student branch of the organisation and facilitating the raising of funds, for day to day activities.

The T-art t-shirt is a ground-breaking new form of media and expression. It is a t-shirt with a unique print and pen combination that allows the user to write any message or statement onto it and then erase it off again , so as to use the t-shirt endlessly, for a different message or purpose.

Bunchcut is a SaaS collaboration platform to intelligently manage visual content and feedback where I work as a full stack developer.

In the Udacity Machine Learning (ML) nanodegree I am learning the different ML algorithms to perform supervised and unsupervised learning. The algorithms include Naive Bayes, Support Vector Machines, Deep Learning using Tensorflow etc. My primary focus is on neural networks using deep learning and its implication on self driving cars.

I studied the basic principles of Entrepreneurship, and had practical experience implementing the course material as the requirements was that the students had to form a group of 5 - 7 students per group and had to start a business and sustain it for one year. I was the financial manager for the business where I learnt how to work in a team and the basics of accounting.

My undergraduate degree was in Chemical Engineering where I graduated with honours. The degree equipped the students with a good foundation on process design where the skills are not only bound to chemical engineering processes but can be transferred to business processes as well.

My masters is on the feasibility of recycling electronic waste using the bacteria Leptospirillum Ferriphilum. This is due to the fact that e-waste can prove to be an important source of metals (as PCBs can have 20 times more gold than what is found in ores) however current methods of recycling are quite expensive and produce toxic pollutants. Hence a possible alternative is by bioleaching, and hopefully a scalable process can be developed at the end of my MSc.
