Manage Genentech Patient Foundation's specialty pharmacy vendor responsible for delivering annual total of 350,000+ shipments of free drugs to qualified patients who can't afford their medications. Provided Sourcing and Category Management support to US Commercial and US Medical Affairs. Partnered with department leadership and teams to manage categories, develop sourcing strategies, assess vendor landscape, conduct RFPs, negotiate pricing, KPIs and terms. Consulted with internal stakeholders to align procurement and sourcing strategy with company vision and department goals. Established robust supply base for a range of categories and services utilizing spend analysis, cost models, vendor consolidation, diverse supplier approaches while incorporating innovation and sustainability. Developed vendor scorecards and dashboards for both the supplier selection criteria and the ongoing measurement and monitoring of vendor performance.

Responsible for all of indirect procurement and sourcing for the western region, covering both strategic sourcing and procurement operations. Managed 6 procurement specialists in 3 different sites through an organizational transformation that moved company operations and personnel to Minneapolis and offshore to Costa Rica. Ensured indirect vendors were delivering to commitments and contractual obligations. Designed various performance monitoring methods and procedures based on category risk, spend and impact.

Managed procurement of $260M spend of critical parts sourced from strategic partners in Europe. Led team of purchasing specialists and engineers, including field personnel in Europe, in the achievement of team goals and metrics, related to supplier delivery, quality and cost.

Managed procurement of $100M spend of primarily sole-sourced supplier-designed equipment. Supervised diverse team of buyers owning both strategic and tactical responsibilities. Established negotiation strategies and pushed for long-term and master agreements. Formed commodity strategies with respect to sourcing and logistics and initiated low cost sourcing activities, which included capability studies of sources in India, China and Mexico.
