As an intern on the Singleport Business Unit’s finance team I utilized Tableau, SQL, and Microsoft Office to analyze financial trends and make recommendations for the future. I focused a lot of my work on visualizing and explaining long term impacts of decisions. - My first main assignment was updating and developing views for SP's 10 Year P&L Dashboard that we share with our business partners. These views allow business partners greater access and self-sufficiency with initial inputs for new product exploration and business case generation. With this I created documentation to educate our business partners and enable more autonomy. I also made internal documentation so when the dashboard gets updated in future years there is a better understanding of what was done and what needs to be done. - The second key project I worked on was the beginning stages of our new product assessment process we will be implementing into future and current product development to minimize costs. To do this I worked with a variety of business partners in product management and engineering to develop a Tableau dashboard to visualize our assumptions across product development to identify key assumption changes over the development lifecycle.
