Heading Global Procurement for all Bottles and Injection Packaging for all BGs of Unilever. Leading a team of 60+ passionate Procurement professional around the world, who provide a critical impact to Unilever P&L (2 bln Euro spend), Supply Chain and Sustainability Strategy daily.

Heading Global Procurement for all Plastic Injection Molding Packaging of all Unilever divisions and brands. Leading a global team of >20 great colleagues and managing >800 M$ spend worldwide.

Managing a team of 6-10 Purchasing Project Leaders and Commodity Buyers at Philips Domestic Appliances. Managing key-component and commodity suppliers in the Coffee, Kitchen Appliances and Floorcare businesses. Handling a portfolio of 150+ mln. Euro and 80+ suppliers within the team. Commodities span from Electronics, Electro-mechanical components, Plastic Parts, Plastic Raw Materials and Packaging. Working with Innovation and Development on New Product Introductions, such as the development of new appliances at these suppliers. Challenged by a dynamic and complex environment, with fully outsourced operations and extreme pressure on the time to market.

Responsible of Purchasing for the Chemicals – Metals and Minerals – used in 7 European factories. Leading an inter-regional team for defining and executing a global commodity strategy and leveraging supply agreements on a global scale for the whole corporation. Managing a portfolio of Euro 50+ mln. and of 200+ suppliers.

Responsible of Purchasing for the Packaging used in all 7-10 European factories. Managing a portfolio of Euro 6 mln. and of 150+ suppliers. Developing projects for cutting costs, rationalising supply, improving logistics. Collaborating with Mkting and R&D for improving the packaging employed.

Responsible for the controlling and reporting for the Purchasing department. Analysing the commodity markets in which the company purchases and is exposed. Developing business cases for evaluating new strategies for supply-chain and operations.

Studying the practical application of portfoio theory. Development of an innovative method that corrects the original Markowitz’ model. Results collected into two working papers. Consulting project developed within the Econometrics Laboratory “LASEF” of Politecnico di Milano. Studying and creating models for forecasting return and volatility of equity investments. Paper presented at Cass Business School, University of London in January 2008.
