Marc Jacobs

Chief Technology Officer @ nTop

About

I'm a technology executive and leadership mentor with over 25 years of experience guiding organizations through accelerated growth and professionals through pivotal career transitions. My journey spans roles at nTop (where I currently serve as CTO and lead our engineering, product management, and UX organizations), Google, Microsoft, Bridgewater Associates, and several startups, giving me a unique perspective on career evolution and organizational development. Throughout my career, I've built and scaled engineering organizations, most notably expanding Google Cloud Platform's frontend engineering capabilities across its core services and facilitating the merger of Sidewalk Labs by Google with Google Earth. I've had the privilege of personally coaching over 500 leaders, and I'm deeply passionate about empowering others to navigate their professional paths. My expertise encompasses areas like artificial intelligence, computational design, cloud computing, and sustainable technology. I'm based in New York City. IMPORTANT: Under the heading of "This is why we can't have nice things", I've received entirely too many irrelevant invitations to connect over the last year and have had to change my LinkedIn preferences to be more restrictive. I will only accept invitations from people I already know and/or current/prospective customers or partners. I will not accept cold-call invitations from any vendor, recruiter, or candidate via LinkedIn, regardless of whether we share mutual connections. If you're interesting in working at nTop, connect via https://www.ntop.com/careers/.
