• Conducted research on workforce barriers such as childcare, housing, transportation, and poverty in-order-to generate a comprehensive spreadsheet of company initiatives and on-going creative programs business managers could present to employers as ways employers could weaken workforce barriers • Took part in meetings with business owners, filled out Virginia Jobs Investment Program (VJIP) scorecards based on meetings, created an incentive opportunity for companies in Salesforce and presented opportunities to RTSBO team managers for approval before opportunities would go up for approval from the Chamber of Commerce and VEDP executives • Crafted one-pager customizable promotional material for the RTSBO team business managers for distribution to employers seeking information on the RTSBO team's offerings

In my time at Venture Richmond, I learned about the downtown district that is marketed, beautified and served by the organization. What was so powerful about this experience was the trust that was placed in me as an intern. I was taken to meetings and allowed to do work in the field like planting and graffiti reports. Most importantly I was given the space to identify a project that I would have a passion for and lead that effort. I chose a project focused on business engagement where I had the ability to interview business owners who received grants in 2022 to open their businesses on Broad Street. The project allowed me to understand the different struggles businesses face and how they are performing on Broad Street over this last year.

As the Director of Operations for Student2Scholar I facilitate scholarship training and deliver presentations to students within the Greater Richmond Area

As an intern for Student2Scholar my main role is to work under the department heads to complete tasks that will improve the organization’s overall outreach and presence. Some of the work I have done includes designing posts for social media, filling our grant applications, and compiling the information of scholarship coordinators so that the organization can better reach out to schools in the Greater Richmond Area.

As a summer intern (2021 and 2022) I work remotely as a research intern collecting data on client companies in order to put together small projects that help to advance the work of co-workers who create the marketing used by the clients.
