Luisa Gomez Bravo

Member of the Management Board of BBVA, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. Responsible for the global businesses of corporate banking and global markets covering a range of products in capital markets, corporate finance, transactional banking and global lending for corporates and institutional clients and investors. This business area contributed over 1.2bn€ (2021) in net attributable profit to the Group. From January 2020 to August 2021, named Global Lead on Sustainability for BBVA Group at the management board level. Responsible for leading the single sustainability strategic priority of the Group, working together with areas and countries towards the delivery on BBVA's sustainability goals.

This area reporting to the CFO is in charge of, among others, the implementation of the Group’s efficiency programs, monitoring project portfolio management and capex allocation, and evolving the Global Procurement model for the Group. In addition, responsible for designing and executing the Single Development Agenda governance framework of BBVA - a new way of prioritizing and allocating resources dynamically throughout the Group and scaling Agile in their execution cycle.

Reporting to the CFO of the Group (Executive Board member). Responsible for the Group’s relationship with institutional investors, equity and bond analysts, rating agencies and retail shareholders.

Reporting jointly to the Head of BBVA Spain & Portugal (Executive Board member) and to the Chief IT Officer of the Group (Executive Board member). The business unit has over 3.300 branches, with over 25.000 employees, and generated over 6bn€ in revenues in 2013. Three main areas of responsibility: (i) Ops, Control & IT Coordination (over 2000 employees); (ii) Management Models & Organisation (compensation schemes, organizational structures, special projects, management model, branch dimension, management tools, processes…); and, (iii) Customer Experience & Satisfaction (customer research & surveys, client desk, complaints bureau, client quality branch protocols…).
