Luc Kooijman

I’m a Design Engineer working on the development and refinement of nuclear simulation tools, with a focus on multiphysics modelling and code-to-code integration. My recent work includes benchmarking methodologies, enhancing the neutronic modelling of simulators, and creating Python-based applications to support engineering workflows. I’ve also contributed to technical studies addressing operational and safety-related questions relevant to Belgian nuclear power plants. A key part of my role involves aligning current tools and approaches with future needs, including the evolving landscape of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), with a strong emphasis on innovation, safety, and reliability.
