My responsibilities included 50 percent classroom and one-to-one support for two students, one in Year 7 and the other student in Year 11. Both students had differing requirements for support. On the whole my day-to-day tasks involved joining my students in the classroom to make sure that they were organised and staying on task. I also supported in a one-to-one setting within the Support For Learning dept where I assisted with reinforcing understanding of current classroom teaching and helped with homework and often used this time as a chance to introduce upcoming learning topics in the core subjects.
