Global responsibility for Elster’s Infrastructure and Information Security program along with any associated implementation and support activities. This includes the provision and maintenance of a framework of all necessary process, procedures and applications that ensures the proper and complete protection of Elster IT assets (Networks, Information, Applications and Infrastructure) against both internal and external threats. In addition, this role is responsible for identifying any gaps in our Security and Disaster Recovery policies and procedures with expedient remediation as necessary. Key responsibilities include: • Maintenance and continuous improvement of IT Security and Disaster Recovery policies, guidelines, and manuals for all Elster locations. • Monitor to ensure that IT Security and Disaster Recovery policies, guidelines, and manuals are adhered to globally. • Ensure compliance with governmental regulations. • Collaborate with Infrastructure Managers and Site IT Managers to secure the overall Elster infrastructure and IT assets. • Perform IT security audits, monitor compliance, and perform risk and vulnerability assessments for Elster locations. • Assess and assist with IT security breaches in order to understand, contain, and devise measures to prevent future occurrences. • Assess and identify opportunities for standardization for the organization. • Act as Program Manager for ISO27001 certification projects covering secure manufacturing, smart metering, and software as a service offerings. • Design, implement, and support global security solutions, including anti-virus / anti-spam and web content filtering.

• Served as Global Security Manager for all Elster locations. • Developed an enhanced set of IT Security and Disaster Recovery policies, guidelines, and manuals in accordance with SoX and CoBIT requirements and standards. • Key contributor for service management tool selection, planning, development, and rollout. Developed Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes for network and infrastructure according to ITIL v3 framework. • Lead the global project to standardize the end user computing environment, including the implementation of Microsoft Deployment Services for Windows 7 imaging. • Lead the global rollout of IT Policies, Guidelines, and Manuals. • Responsible for regional infrastructure design and management, including service delivery, technical infrastructure, problem definition, triage, restoration, and resolution. • Provided IT infrastructure support and guidance for all sites in the Americas region. Areas included WAN and LAN technologies, security, and standardization. • Lead the RFP process for a global, standardized e-mail and collaboration solution. • Lead the RFP process for an improved global wide area network solution. • Served as interim site IT Manager for Elster Solutions, including managing a staff of 6 IT professionals to support 650 users.

• Maintained and supported a multi-domain Windows Server 2003 network with approximately 125 servers and 500+ users locally. • Implemented access control procedures to ensure rights are approved by data owners. • Managed on-site helpdesk personnel and operations, while providing user support for tier III network and application issues. • Lead the global security team in developing a corporate standard IT Security Policy and Disaster Recovery policy. Assisted in the rollout of this policy to Elster locations in North and South America. Assumed the responsibility of Regional Security Officer, covering the Americas. • Provided support to locations in the Americas and Asia-Pacific regions for the Elster Global Network, including Internet access, Internet proxy and reporting, DNS services, and data integrity. Implemented DNS zone replication across the global WAN. • Designed and implemented multiple SUN StorageTek Storage Area Networks (SAN) utilizing redundant fiber-channel infrastructure for backup and recovery, server consolidation, and product testing and support. Implemented online / nearline storage concept for the archival of data. • Provided guidance and sizing of servers being used for customer-based metering systems. Recommended hardware and provided support to internal technical staff when working with customer issues. • Provided trend reporting, escalation management, and customer satisfaction assurance. • Served as IT lead on the Human Resources Information System project implementation with Fidelity and Time America. This involved the consolidation of HR data to a hosted facility and the implementation of time clocks at North American locations. • Implemented a Network Knowledgebase for compiling administrative and configuration data for the IT Department.

• Contracted to ABB, Inc. (later acquired and became Elster) to provide network, server, desktop, and user support. • Hired full-time by ABB, Inc. in 2000 to supervise network security and user support.

• Provided design, implementation, and support services for various customers requiring Windows NT networks. Responsibilities included hardware and software installation, network configuration, administration, and troubleshooting. • Taught application courses for Microsoft Office, Lotus SmartSuite, and Microsoft Windows operating systems. • Designed Microsoft Access database applications based on customer specifications to facilitate organized data management.
