Leta Harrison's exhibit, *Black Girls Don't Wear Red Lipstick*, was showcased at the Austin Public Library, offering a powerful exploration of beauty standards and cultural identity. Through striking portraits and intimate compositions, the exhibit challenges societal expectations placed on Black women, particularly around self-expression and beauty. Leta’s work highlights the boldness and individuality of her subjects, using red lipstick as a symbol of defiance and self-empowerment. This visually captivating exhibit not only celebrates diversity but also opens up conversations about cultural norms and the beauty of authenticity.
