About

I am a senior Mechanical Engineering student seeking an internship or co-op position before my graduation in December 2016. I am involved in the campus community from engineering organizations to leadership and service organizations. I am the current Senator for the National Society of Black Engineers, very active with the UTSA College of Engineering Outreach programs, and I am also involved in the campus community as a leader and role model to those younger than I by being a continuous participant of events held by the Student Leadership Center on campus. Since 2011 I have held many leadership roles for my fraternity (Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Inc.) such as Vice President and Sergeant at Arms. I have also gained industry experience from my past internship experience and I am passionate about using the knowledge I have obtained to be a contributor to solving the world's issues. As a senator for the undergraduate chapter at The University of Texas at San Antonio, I have a few main responsibilities. The first is to be the voice of our organization within the college of engineering on campus. I do this by keeping the other engineering organizations updated with events/tutoring/concerns that the chapter has going on. Secondly, I coordinate with organizations to take time out of their schedules to speak to the chapter about the industry and what to expect upon graduation. Lastly, I work with student organizations on campus to host educational events that will better the campus community.
