* The purpose build home provides care for people with complex health needs including Huntington’s disease. Kavanagh Place has strong links with local services including Walton Centre for Neurology and Mossley Hill Brain Injury Unit. All staff have specialist training in Huntington’s disease Awareness Training and the high level of staffing has helped Kavanagh Place to have a high record of placing people who may have exhausted previous placements due to their challenging behaviour’s. * Duties included * Assisted with daily activities, personal care needs and general welfare. * Accompanied residents to hospital if any medical emergencies occurred. * Diffused situations in which residents displayed challenging behaviour. * One to one observation with high risk residents, ensuring their behaviour and mood was logged every hour.
