Officially Senior Director in the Technology and Product division's Security and Privacy group, Larry's primary responsibility is leading Comcast's enterprise-wide Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) effort which he is currently pursuing under the label DevSecOps using agile transformation techniques that he learned and quantified over the last decade.

Lead the vision for analytics at Rally. Published groundbreaking research in the efficacy of Lean and Agile practices, attitudes, and behaviors. I was also the Product Line Director for the Insights product line that was responsible for Rally's Lookback API (which I designed), the Software Development Performance Index (SDPI) (developed in conjunction with the SEI), and the Insights tooling.

Define vision for analytics APIs and capabilities that we provide to Rally customers. Architect for temporal data model and query language for big data analytics built on top of MongoDB. Identify correlations between behaviors and performance indicators that can be automatically extracted from passively gathered data in Rally (project management data) as well as other sources like source code repositories.

Provided coaching (consulting) for agile project launches, enterprise transformation, and portfolio management. My specialty as a coach at Rally was the use of agile in system engineering environments where there is a mix of mechanical, electronics, firmware, and software.

Provided coaching and training for software process improvement initiatives. Serve as project manager on software projects. Certified Scrum Master (CSM). Certified coach for SEI’s Team Software Process (TSP). Certified assessor for CMMI. Certified trainer for SEI’s Personal Software Process (PSP). Rational Unified Process (RUP) and Extreme Programming (XP) training. ISO-9000 training and product development. Highlights include: • Contracted by Intuit to train, launch, and coach teams on their TSP-based process in the US, Canada, and India. Technology includes C#/.Net and Java/J2EE. • Contracted by Adobe to help design, train, and coach teams on a modified form of Scrum. Technology includes Java, ActionScript, Flex, Lua, and C/C++. • CMM, CMMI, TSP, PSP, Scrum, XP, RUP and ISO-9000 training, gap analysis, and process improvement team leadership for various organizations across various technology platforms. • Served as interim executive and software development team lead for various startups and small technology companies at the Corporate Research Center at Virginia Tech.
