Lance Christensen

California Policy Partners is a membership association focused on protecting the family business interests in California. We intend not only holding the legislature accountable, but transforming it into a policymaking body Californians deserve. My passion for academic excellence will continue through my relationships with incredible colleagues and advocates at California Policy Center, California Local Elected Officials, Parent Union and School Boards for Academic Excellence. I look forward to continuing working with friends and allies to bring the glimmer back to the Golden State and renewing our commitment to prosperity, not only for our Pacific Coast progeny but for the rest of the country.

California Policy Center's mission is to reduce public sector barriers to freedom and to establish an environment for prosperity to flourish. We also seek to educate, train and mentor local elected officials in their capacity as representatives to the people.

California’s public education is broken and continues to get worse. Despite record spending on our schools, decades of bad education policies have brought us among the lowest test scores and literacy rates in the nation. Unless dramatic steps are taken now and someone advocates for parents and children at the top, California won’t be able to graduate students who can read, work in the 21st Century’s dynamic economy or participate as thoughtful and engaged citizens in our communities. A father of 5, Lance Christensen has 20 years of direct experience in education policy, as a teacher, legislative consultant, parent advocate, education nonprofit executive, and public finance specialist. Lance knows what it takes to produce an exceptional education, has the vision and leadership to re-establish California as the country’s best place to educate our children, and is willing to fight alongside parents on behalf of their children. We need to add parents back into the education equation.

Working to make genuine school choice a reality in California.

In addition to managing and advising Senator Moorlach on policy, legislation and budget issues before the California State Senate, I also coordinated all staff in their areas of responsibility in both the State Capitol and district offices (Costa Mesa, Orange County).

Managed Reason Foundation's public pension reform project at the local, state and federal levels with the following principles: • Fiscally sustainable at reasonable budget levels; • Fair benefits for government workers and fair controls for taxpayers; • Depoliticize most decisions about benefits and policies; • Do not pass unfunded liabilities on to the next generation. Worked on broad California reforms by developing, applying, and promoting libertarian principles, including individual liberty, free markets, and the rule of law.

Worked as a policy consultant on environmental issues for the Republican Caucus in the California State Senate.

Coursework garnered graduate credits but no degree was obtained.
