In my current role at Lowe's, I am part of the Store Selling Team, where we are focused on modernizing the applications running on the store registers. Our primary goal is to develop various micro frontends that are lightweight and optimized for performance on store registers. Lowe’s store registers used to run legacy applications that impacted transaction speed, employee efficiency, and customer experience. As part of the Store Selling Team, I am leading the modernization of these applications by implementing micro frontends with React JS, creating a modular and high-performance system. This project has revolutionized the way Lowe’s store associates interact with customers by introducing real-time, lightweight, and optimized applications that improve checkout speed and efficiency. We have enabled seamless updates, independent deployments, and faster innovation cycles by implementing a micro frontend-based architecture. This approach ensures that future features can be rolled out with zero downtime, setting a new standard for store register applications. By implementing these micro frontends, we aim to enhance the overall user experience and improve the functionality of the applications used in Lowe's stores.

I played a vital role in developing and implementing Lowe's Vendor Gateway Application. This application provides a comprehensive solution for all vendor onboarding processes at Lowe's. Before the Vendor Gateway Application, Lowe’s vendor onboarding process was slow and inefficient, requiring manual data entry and taking 45-60 days to complete. I led the architecture and implementation of this automated system, which reduced onboarding time to 4-6 days, eliminating manual errors and improving operational agility. This transformation allowed Lowe’s to scale vendor partnerships faster, streamline compliance, and optimize data integration. The system I designed has laid the foundation for future automation initiatives, enabling seamless vendor collaboration, improving data accuracy, and allowing future integrations with AI-driven approval workflows. This project was a pivotal step toward Lowe’s digital transformation strategy.

During my tenure at Arch Mortgage Insurance, I played a crucial role in developing the RateStar platform. This innovative platform enables the origination of more mortgages, reaching new customer segments, and competing efficiently with exclusive tools such as RateStar Buydown and RateStar dynamic pricing. This tool allows you to customize mortgage insurance (MI) premium payments to meet the specific needs of your borrowers. It enabled the user to experiment with different combinations of upfront and monthly payments, using all available lender and/or seller credits and borrower funds. This flexibility helps in creating unique MI premium payment plans, ensuring no money is left on the table. Lower premium payments also allow more loans to qualify for GSE loan requirements, such as Fannie Mae Debt-to-Income ratios and Freddie Mac Automated Underwriting System approval. As one of the core engineers, I was deeply involved in the entire lifecycle of the application. I contributed to the development of the application using Angular 7 and Spring Boot. I also played a key role in creating custom directives, decorators, and services to interface with RESTful services. Additionally, I implemented Angular Router to enable seamless navigation from one view to the next as customers performed application tasks. My responsibilities extended to ensuring the quality and reliability of the application. I performed Test-Driven Development (TDD) using Jest and Jasmine on the Angular application and used Protractor with Puppeteer to write end-to-end tests. In terms of deployment, I developed and maintained Jenkins Pipelines to define the CI/CD process and containerized microservices, automating the deployment in OpenShift through Jenkins job.

During my tenure at Sabre (client for Experis), I worked on a product called SynXis Property Manager V4.0, a property management system for hotels. This application simplifies day-to-day hotel operations and enhances in-stay guest engagement. As a cloud-native solution, it accelerates the employee onboarding process and reduces the time taken to conduct routine hotel operations. It provides employees with easy access to guest information, allowing them to accomplish operational tasks efficiently from anywhere on any device. Additionally, it enables hoteliers to create a consistent brand experience by offering high-quality, personalized guest experiences. I contributed to various modules of this application. I developed microservices using Spring Boot and deployed them in AWS EC2 instances. I also configured Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) with networking of subnets containing servers. Furthermore, I integrated REST API with Microservices for communication through resources using Spring Rest Templates and developed Restful web services interfaces to Java-based runtime engines and accounts. To ensure the application's security, I used Veracode to scan for security flaws and fixed the identified issues. I conducted deep-dive "hands-on" training sessions for developers and educated development teams on AWS Services.
