Kohei Matsumoto

I'm a software developer with 11+ years of experience in Android, iOS, front-end, back-end, IaaS and information security. I had been worked for Cookpad (the biggest recipe sharing service in the world) from 2014 to 2017, for Money Design (a robo-advisor company in Japan) from 2017 to 2020, then for 400F, Inc. (a fintech startup in Japan) from 2020 to 2024 as CTO, then for Woven by Toyota from 2025. I took the lead for 400F to achieve ISO/IEC 27001 (ISMS) certification in 2022. I won Rookie of the first half year (Jan.-Jun. 2015) from Cookpad as the recognition for my accomplishments. I had been the team lead of the ad-tech team from 2016 to 2017. I also have experience in hardware logic design using Verilog-HDL and FPGA at University of Tokyo and Keio University. I had worked as CTO at 400F from 2020 to 2024. I was responsible for the management of fellow engineers, recruitment of new engineers, information security* and decision-making from a technical perspective. * 400F is ISO/IEC 27001 (ISMS) certified as of June 16 2022. I had worked as an Android app/iOS app/Front-end developer at Money Design. The iOS app of THEO (the robo-advisor service) is developed by me and the other developer then released in Dec. 2017. The Android app of THEO is developed by me then released in Dec. 2018. I also develop the front-end side of okane-kenko.jp provided by 400F, which is a subsidiary of Money Design, by using Vue.js and TypeScript. I had worked for the advertisement development department since I joined Cookpad as a new graduate. I had developed new ad products and in-house ad libraries, which made huge contributions to profit of Cookpad. Cookpad recognized them and awarded me Rookie of the first half year in 2015. I had been the team lead of the ad-tech team from July 2016 to May 2017. I have Master of Engineering from University of Tokyo and Bachelor of Engineering from Keio University. I studied hardware logic design, real-time systems and high-speed camera systems at the universities using Verilog-HDL and FPGA. I have studied for one year at Saarland University in Germany as an exchange student from Keio University. The languages I can handle are Japanese (Native), English (upper intermediate) and German (elementary). I'm interested in Android/iOS app development, security, learning foreign languages, economics, finance and sports.
