I started as a golf professional, then moved into B2B sales where the real work began. At 27, I became the youngest rep at Slazenger Golf Company, quickly tripling my territory's revenue. A well-known golf pro advised my soon-to-be manager that "someone should hire Kevin before you-know-who nabs that kid."My career continued at Callaway Golf, where I refined my expertise in sales and business strategy before relocating to Kansas City in 2000. By 2003, I launched Leawood Office Business Center, a multi-million dollar executive office suite development I managed from the ground up.In 2014, I founded Kevin M. Downey — initially a recruitment firm recognized for sourcing high-performing sales and customer service teams. Over the following decade, I built out scalable programs including Blue Chip Recruiting and a turnkey B2B email marketing system (Lead Machine), and led the venture from inception to acquisition offer. Core principle: outperform, outwork, and overdeliver.That full arc — building businesses, scaling sales systems, placing hundreds of people, and sending over 100 million emails — is what I bring to every AI engagement. My background in philosophy (graduate work in logic and linguistics) trained me to think in systems and ask better questions. That's what AI rewards.Originally from Orland Park, IL. My entrepreneurship is rooted in my upbringing — growing up in an enterprising family that began in the 1950s restaurant industry and became one of the largest importers of European tile in the United States.
