About
Greetings! I’m Kevin Iskandar, a mechatronics engineering undergrad with passions in product design, electronics, robotics, and control systems. Born from a curiosity about how computers and gadgets work, I decided to pursue further studies in engineering, which ultimately specialized in mechatronics engineering. Despite pursuing a fairly advanced major, the ambition of trying to make money and alleviate tuition fees has always been embedded in me. The ambition of achieving a high GPA should also be mentioned, as it started out with a squabble between me and my sister about each other’s GPA, making my college process feel like a game between us. I ended up getting a job as a laboratory assistant for two semesters and getting a scholarship four times in a row in the last four semesters of college. Over the past four years, I've been quite consistently engaged in teaching-related activities, some of which are exam preparation classes, workshops, and volunteer activities that I've been doing recently. This activity always challenged me to comprehend things as thoroughly as possible so that I could articulate them to others in a clearer and more concise way. I'm also involved in various organizational and research activities. My experience in teaching and research successfully earned me the award as the best presenter at one of the annual major events. As someone with an immense amount of curiosity who thrives on challenges, I find satisfaction in solving complex problems and developing new systems and devices. With a strong foundation in the mechatronics field, I am eager to contribute my competencies to current and future innovative projects that have the potential to ease and enhance the quality of human life. My interests were in the fields of product design, robotics, control systems, electronics, data acquisition, and other allied fields, as I used these fields in my research projects during my studies. I'm not such a talkative person, but I enjoy meeting new people, especially those who share similar interests, either in scientific fields or hobbies. Assigment 1 - Injection & Decoration Department at Dynaplast Jatake (DP02) Started as part of injection department, ended up being involved in various technical and collaborative projects within various departments in DP02. Key responsibilities: • Performed detailed analysis of machine and product defects to support root cause investigations and continuous improvement efforts. • Prepared essential documentation, including scientific molding calculation, quality assessments, and production data reports. • Designed assembly machine concepts for various products through 3D modelling and animation. • Collaborated with the automation team to develop custom assembly tools and semi-automated machinery. • Designed optimized production layout concepts to improve workflow based on current needs. • Managed product trial activities, from execution to data collection and reporting. • Represented the production department in client-requested FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) sessions, contributing to risk analysis and mitigation planning. Key achievements: • Successfully contributed to the development of an in-house assembly machine (L'Oreal new serum product) that delivered equivalent production output to a vendor-supplied machine (~IDR 400M), built with less than IDR 50M, resulting in significant cost savings.
