Concept.io is the creator of Swell (www.swell.am), a mobile application that provides news and information. Swell offers an elegant and simple user experience powered by an algorithm that learns and magically surfaces the best audio content based on listener preferences and the wisdom of the community. As CTO, responsible for all aspects of engineering: client, algorithms, analytics and infrastructure. Led the development of a secure, scalable, and robust service deployed in production. As Board member, helped set strategy and direction for the company.

Was one of two developers left after the acquisition of Metreo by Symphony. Transitioned the entire product suite to the Symphony Services team in Bangalore, handled all customer support issues on the product along with the professional services team. Explored and prototyped areas of integration with other Symphony products.

Acquired by the Symphony Technology Group in February, 2006. Was an early member of the team and a key developer on all of the pricing related products that Metreo built - Response (price management), Target (price optimization) and Vision (pricing analytics). The solutions were built using the Java/J2EE stack - JDBC, Stateless and Message Driven EJBs, JMS, JAAS and JSPs/Servlets. The applications were customizable per deployment and ran on multiple operating systems (Windows, Solaris), relational databases (Oracle, SQLServer) and J2EE containers (WebLogic, JBoss and WebSphere). For Metreo Vision the team developed an Ajax based UI framework and backend that allowed for realtime analysis of price data that scaled to millions of records.

Joined when the company was Healtheon. Started out as an QA engineer (API) and was promoted to developer in the Benefits Administration team. Highlights included working on the core engine of the application, being the main contact for operational issues (this was a live and complex system that handled benefits online for thousands of users), training and documenting for teams in India. The solutions ran on Solaris and the services were implemented using CORBA, C++ and Informix as the database. Jam was the build tool and the deployment system was built using the korn shell.

Front end developer support for a cross platform GUI development framework in C++ called ZApp. Worked with developers in fixing solutions/issues. Had to support multiple Unix operating systems, Windows and OS2. Chose not to re-locate to Colorado when the team was moved there.
