ABOUT ME I am an Open Pit Supervisor at Newmont Boddington Gold. I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychological Science, a Diploma in Surface Operations Management as a step towards attaining my Quarry Managers Qualification and have been accepted into a MBA program with Edith Cowan University. MY JOURNEY I started my journey in mining with BHP in 2010 at Mt Arthur Coal in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales completing a two year traineeship as a Production Operator. During my time at Mt Arthur Coal i worked in the pit as well as the Coal Handling and Preperation Plant, where I: - Operated Electric and mechanical drive trucks, D10/D11 track dozers, watercarts, cleanup loaders and skid steers - attained Cert. III in Resource Processing - attained Cert. III in Surface Extraction Operations - Mines Rescue Team member In 2016 i relocated from NSW to Western Australia, beginning my employment with Newmont at Boddington Gold Mine in 2017. During my time at Newmont I have: - Operated Cat 793 haul trucks, D10/D11 track dozers and 16H graders - been a Mining Operations Safety Representative In 2020 i was offered the opportunity to undertake the Senior Ancillary Operator secondment. During this time I: - cover leave of Open Pit Supervisor in conventional and autonomous mining areas. - completing my Autonomous Haulage Systems Pit Builder Training. In October of 2021 I was made an Open Pit Supervisor looking after Ancillary.
