The contracted start up Facilities Manager for a security company providing remote oilfield operations in Iraq: managing a small facilities team consisting of 10 personnel supporting the day to day functions of a camp in its infancy and beyond. In post to provide the future rotational managers with total control of the facilities management process within the base location: acting as the advisor for company senior management on the set up of the camp in conjunction with the immediate client and their overarching client. Provision of in depth reports to ensure that all parties were aware of the condition of the camp as a whole and advise on the way forward to resolve the immediate issues and resolution priorities going forward. QHSE advisor to the client and the security company’s client to ensure that all areas of QHSE were endorsed, well briefed, documented in formal reports and practiced where reasonably practicable to enhance future requirements.

The ‘In Country’ Technical and Fleet Operations Manager executing the implementation of successful servicing, maintenance and preventative maintenance strategies for ‘B6’ Armoured Vehicles and Support Equipment for the major Oil and Gas Companies. Technical Author for all Equipment Care and support processes within Control Risks Iraq and advice for managers at all levels. Auditor of equipment providers and contractors, ensuring that the facilities they operate conform to ISO 9001:2008 Standards (QA and QC) and the provision of the correct certification to ensure compliance prior to deployment in Iraq for the client. Advisor for the procurement of equipment to support major tenders and responsible for the vehicle and equipment inspections for projects in the Middle East. Complete fleet, technical and facilities advice at all levels to ensure optimal fleet availability through the use of CMMS / SAP / ERP / Fleet Management software and the use of KPI’s to manage equipment and forecast budgets.

* The Senior Technical Manager of an extremely busy Joint Service Mechanical Workshop supporting Military Operations in the South Atlantic operating fleet totalling 650 prime movers: Armoured Vehicles, Heavy Plant, Construction Equipment and Support Equipment (2300 equipment’s in total). * Management of contractors and suppliers to support Fire Suppression Systems, Tyre Management Policies, Modifications and Refurbishment Programmes. * Dedicated Logistic and Engineering Support in the role of Operations Manager to all military mechanical departments: supporting fixed & mobile plant and airfield, port and ground operations throughout the South Atlantic Region. * The focal point for managers within the organisation for all Human Resource Matters - including the technical training of both military and civilian employees for career development and trade progression. * Budgetary control of all technical activities in the support of operations in excess of USD 10 million.

* Senior in country Operational Logistics and Workshop Manager controlling an extensive range of Armoured and OEM Vehicles throughout Afghanistan. * The advisor to senior management on all HSEC issues for the satellite Workshops and Logistic locations in accordance with UK and local legislation. * Complete technical and facilities advice to 10 locations throughout Afghanistan supporting internal departments and Humanitarian Aid Agency operations. * Budgetary control of Contractors and Support Costs ensuring all personnel are provided with the spares, services, equipment, tools and real estate needed to complete projects. * Supply Chain Management carried out to ensure that materiel valued in excess of USD 1 million was monitored to provide the repair organisation with an effective Stores Support Procedure through a robust Integrated Logistic Support process.
