As a Leather Development Officer (Intern & Volunteer) in Kirinyaga County, I oversee operations at Sagana Tannery and Galaxy Crocodile Farm Mukutano, ensuring quality control and sustainable practices. I train industry workers on leather processing, waste management, and flaying techniques, while supporting SMEs in the leather industry through market research, capacity building, and funding linkages. I also inspect hides, skins, and curing facilities for quality compliance and drive industry innovation and sustainability through stakeholder engagement and infrastructure development.

As an Agripreneur within the EKYAN Project implemented by KuzaBiashara and supported by UNICEF, I play a vital role in empowering rural communities through agribusiness, youth engagement, and sustainable farming practices. My work focuses on equipping smallholder farmers and fellow youths with financial literacy, business management, and modern agricultural techniques to enhance productivity, market access, and livelihood opportunities.

At Mwea Rice Mills, I gained extensive experience in rice processing, quality control, and agribusiness operations. My role involved record-keeping, bookkeeping, and report writing, ensuring efficient documentation of transactions and inventory. I effectively managed rice sellers, supervised casual workers, and provided daily operational guidance to enhance productivity. Additionally, I demonstrated strong leadership and teamwork, collaborating with colleagues to maintain smooth operations and uphold industry standards. Through these responsibilities, I developed expertise in operational management, stakeholder coordination, and sustainable practices in the rice milling sector.
