Roles: Senior Investment Associate | COO of Special Brands (“SBL”), Investee Quick-Service Restaurant Co. (Lagos) - Evaluated 50+ deals across sectors (including FMCG, transportation, hospitality, healthcare, media, agribusiness, warehousing) and geographies (Pan-Africa) - Obtained a $20mm commitment from the IFC by building the KVP Fund Model, valuing KVP and all its investee companies - Facilitated seamless remote monitoring of KVP Nigeria investments in coffee washing stations of Rwanda by designing excel based reporting formats - Closed a $3mm transaction in quick service restaurant sector including detailed due diligence, valuation, and documentation to take over 20+ existing restaurants at Mobil filling stations. - Appointed COO for the investee company (SBL) to design and implement turnaround strategy including: * Discontinued 20% of loss-making products by analyses of sales mix and product profitability * 30% reduction in manpower costs via restructuring roles at restaurant level; and ~28% reduction in working capital requirements via controls and cadences to minimize wastage, reduce theft rates and manage inventory * Closure of 3 loss making restaurants and negotiated a master franchise agreement with Oando Marketing for ROFR to expand at 200+ locations pan-Nigeria
