• Oversaw the design and implementation of a data-driven, human rights-based business development model for Heartland Alliance International, enabling the organization to implement high quality human rights programs and diversify revenue streams. • Provided strategic oversight and critical input to support key organizational functions, including annual budgeting and strategic planning. • Successfully secured multi-year, multi-million-dollar funding from USAID, USAID Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance (BHA), Department of State Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM), Democracy, Rights and Labor (DRL), Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking In-Persons (JTIP), Global Affairs Canada (GAC), UNHCR, and the World Food Programme. • Developed a new business Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and business processes to support high quality, effective targeting, capture, and proposal development. • Led a global team of Business Development Officers based in Colombia, Iraq, and Chicago.

• Successfully secured over USD $12M as lead writer on USAID BHA, PRM, JTIP, UNHCR, and the World Food Programme proposals for projects that respond to migration, forced displacement, and human trafficking in Colombia and the Dominican Republic. • Planned and executed a scoping mission to Northern Central America to evaluate opportunities for organizational expansion.

• Implemented and supervised the implementation of a 4-stage capacity development model on the ¨Building Extractive Sector Governance Project (Comunica)¨ in Colombia. • Team-lead in the development and implementation of international development and peace and post-conflict project proposals in Colombia. • Oversaw day to day operations of cross-cutting specialists on the Colombia project which consists of nine direct-reports in the areas of: Environmental Sustainability, Gender Equality, Results-Based Management, Communications and Capacity Development.

• Designed and implemented a 4-stage capacity development model on the Colombia project. • Designed e-Learning programs as an approach to scale, replicate and extend project training programs to a wider range of beneficiaries • Coached and mentored technical project staff as well as Government of Colombia partners in Bogotá, Meta, Putumayo, and Antioquia using a 4-stage capacity development model.

• Led strategic international partnerships between the University of Calgary and universities in the Americas. • Supported the establishment of a key partnership with the Government of Mexico to aid energy reforms; funding of C$46 million from the Mexican Ministry of Energy was allocated to support the creation of a network of global hubs for discovery, creativity, and innovation in unconventional hydrocarbon resources research.

• Provided interactive, sociable, and effective language instruction to monolingual (Spanish-speaking) adults and young learners in levels ranging from beginner to advanced.
