Implemented and maintained secure, highly available AWS GovCloud infrastructures compliant with Department of Defense Impact Level 4 (DoD IL4) and FedRAMP standards, supporting mission-critical workloads.

• Implemented AWS FhirWorks and AWS HealthLake and migrated existing applications relational data to HL7 FHIR Resources to enable advanced analytics and insights using Kibana and HealthLake. • Architected semantic versioning for scheduled releases and hotfixes using blue/green deployment strategy for staging and production environments while keeping 100% uptime. • Standardized and sourced all cloud resources and deployments across the organization in a generic, re-usable way using CloudFormation and AWS CDK with a focus on utilizing as much serverless infrastructure as possible. • Managed SOC2 and HIPAA audits and implemented tools (Drata) and controls to ensure compliance.

• Proposed and implemented a trunk-based development branching model with a GitHub actions pipeline to fully automate the entirety of building, testing, and deploying code through all environments to production. • Drastically increased development throughput by properly dockerizing all services with hot reloading functionality for rapid local development. Used multi-stage docker builds to create optimized builds for both local development and cloud hosted containers. • Managed initial production deployment to support providers and their patients. • Architected microservice implementation to independently deploy services across multiple repos following the principles of the twelve-factor app model.

• Developed RESTful spring-boot microservices and continuously integrated with Jenkins that deployed to Pivotal and AWS cloud infrastructure. • Spearheaded MyMatrixx’s involvement in Machine Learning initiatives at Express Scripts. • Collaborated with technical and business associates to build an enterprise-level application for internal and external users to streamline the management of patient drug authorizations. • Participated in the agile model of software development lifecycle while taking ownership of all coding, testing and collaboration duties.

• Designed technical specifications for custom features to meet the business requirements of new clients. • Developed custom features for clients after receiving signed and approved specifications. • Upgraded existing clients to newer versions of the software and ensured their customizations maintained proper business functionality.

• Developed an automated testing framework using a headless web driver that is used by the development and management team to test nightly builds and generate email reports. • Created automated acceptance tests, smoke tests, regression tests and end-to-end tests to validate software before reaching production. • Removed the need to manually test major components of the main web application, reducing the time from ~6 hours to 20 minutes.

• Contributed to the development of a network access control (NAC) solution for large BYOD networks. • Wrote unit tests and integration tests to verify advanced authentication chain protocols. • Developed a comprehensive load testing suite to measure the performance of the NAC application under various loads to verify and document the capacity our servers can managed. • Introduced versioned databases into our product using Flyway to track migrations. As well as an automated system to perform nightly updates on static data without requiring a product upgrade using Flyway and automated Bamboo plans. • Participated in the complete software lifecycle, from requirement planning through successful deployment.
