Role was in the subcontract department for Kiewit on the Kearl Fine's Tailing Treatment Project. My role was to be the field engineer to manage and oversee the pipeline subcontractor over the project. Some of my duties in this role are outlined below. - Quantity tracking - Quantity take-off's - Work package preparation - Planning and scheduling - Preparing engineering documentation - Construction Methodology assessments - Subcontractor management - Client interactions - Quality and field inspection - Problem solving - Safety assessments

Role of true-up coordinator was at the end of the project to ensure that all costs and quantities are captured for the final lump sum payment for the client. Some of the tasks and duties in this position are outlined as below. - Quantity tracking - Align installed quantities against the budget quantities - Ensure that increased or decreased installed quantities are justified - Understand the pay items and the contract - Ensure comprehension and compliance with client payment model - Understanding and using the Contract Admin log to ensure all costs across the project are captured accurately.

Role as graduate engineer enabled me to be exposed to a number of different project types and tasks within the estimating department. Some of my tasks/duties in this time are below: Construction planning and scheduling with Primavera P6, construction methodology assessments, estimating with Estimator VJ, contractor quotations and subcontracts, writing engineering reports, client and regulative authority interactions, quantity take-offs and calculations, project team assistance, assisted with business development models, tender/client document preparations. Assisted in planning and estimating within civil works, piling and marine departments of the company.
