We aim at using robot technology to change people’s lives. We develop Indoor/Outdoor SLAM and Navigation Technology. We focus on the home application and the assistive device. Product&Project: Home robot for cleaning application This product is designed to do the sweeping and the mopping. The robot can not only clean the floor but also be able to return the base station to clean its mopping cloths for another cleaning cycle. We focuses on low cost indoor navigation system. Our low cost Laser scanner associated with proximity sensors, ultrasonic sensors, optical sensors and bumpers, is used to obtain the map of global environment used for path planning. Finally, the robots equipped with this kind of system can navigate themselves in general indoor environment. The Blind Guiding Device The main goal of this project is to develop wearable device helping the blind to avoid obstacles in complex environment. Using Visual based or TOF-camera based technologies, we reconstruct the 3D model of surroundings, filter and process the information of obstacles and deliver it to the blind using the advanced HMI.
