Josh Houry

I’m a recent Accounting & Finance graduate from Royal Holloway, University of London (Upper Second Class Honours), with hands-on experience across M&A advisory, equity research, and financial markets. Over the past year, I’ve contributed to live international M&A transactions at Venero Capital Advisors, working directly with corporate clients on financial modelling, valuation, and strategic advisory. Prior to that, I gained exposure to real deal workflows through internships and training with Alphastone Equities, CRH Capital, and City Investment Training, sharpening my skills in equity research, DCF/LBO modelling, and investment case building. More recently, I spent three months at deVere Group—the world’s largest independent financial advisory firm, where I advised expatriates on cross-border financial planning, pensions, and investments. I was trained directly by the CEO and operated in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. Currently a CFA Level I candidate, I’m also developing a U.S. equities trading system that integrates macro analysis, sector trends, catalysts, and disciplined execution.
