About

Jonathan was ordained in January of 2002 and has served in various parishes as both priest in charge and, more recently, assistant priest. Much of his ministry has been in multicultural environments. He has a passion for evangelism and church growth and has had a long standing relationship with the Growing the Church organisation of the Anglican Church of Southern Africa. He is currently the minister in charge of a united church in Haenertsburg, Limpopo. Jonathan is also a former business owner. Having spent much of his career in the metallurgical and petro-chemical industries, Jonathan has accumulated a wealth of experience in the areas of innovation, continuous improvement and employee engagement. He has developed a unique employee engagement system that has opened up opportunities, to hundreds of employees in different sectors of the economy, to develop innovative solutions to their own work challenges. He has worked internationally both in Africa and the Middle East and understands the need for organisations to recognise and work within the cultural framework of the people.

Developed a comprehensive plan to restructure a large organisation resulting in the reduction of the establishment by more than 20 percent. This was done without one forced retrenchment but rather with the establishment of a training shift to develop and upgrade the skills of those people whose jobs will become redundant and redeployment of personnel to other divisions where there were skills shortages. We also developed an innovative job requirements and standards document for each position, that describes the work and establishes performance criteria at the same time.
