Jonathan Condon, MS, RD, LD

I have a Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences (Dietetics) and a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences (Dietetics) with Double Minors in Biological Sciences and Spanish from Rutgers University — New Brunswick. In addition, I am a newly credentialed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Some of my strengths are leadership, problem solving, crisis response, and direct patient care. I have experience in direct patient care and problem solving from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital/Rutgers Dietetic Internship Program and crisis response, leadership, and problem solving from Rutgers Residence Life. My Master's research explored the risk and protective factors of disordered eating/eating disorders in sexual minority men. In addition, I presented research in 2023 at the Rutgers Undergraduate Research Writing Conference called "Lose Weight Fast? Medical vs Healthcare Approaches to Obesity" which looked at the ineffectiveness of mass-market and commercial weight loss programs/crash diets and the importance of reliance on RDNs for developing healthy relationships with food and promoting overall health. In 2024, while working in the Department of Residence Life as an Assistant Residence Life Coordinator and co-supervising 24 Resident Assistants, I won two highly competitive and selective departmental awards. The first award was for Program of the Year for his "Mind. Body. Food." Program. Using the knowledge acquired from my graduate studies and training as a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, this event focused on ways to increase interoceptive awareness to cultivate a healthy relationship with food, body, and mind. The other award was for Spirit of RU: RAH-RAH award which was awarded based on innovation, creativity, originality, and passion displayed throughout the work within residence hall communities and the overall department.
