Managing a team of warehouse colleagues through setting objectives to ensure the delivery of key performance indicators. In order to support the delivery of these objectives teamwork, communication and performance appraisals played a vital role. As part of this role it involved managing various areas of the warehouse on a daily basis to ensure service was delivered. In addition to this I was involved in various projects within the department which included the rollout of the new warehouse management system which was Oracle.

I was on the Logistics graduate scheme for 18 months, during this time I was exposed to various parts of the business; Ambient warehouse, Transport, Store and the National Product Lines warehouse. I was also involved in the closure of the transport department at Morrisons Swan Valley site and the set up of the Despatch operation and Chill Warehouse.

Initially rolled out the training and implementation of the Ambient labour planning tool to achieve an increase performance as a department. As part of my role I oversee the admin department to ensure daily duties are being completed whilst planning all the labour requirements within the warehouse. I am continuously looking for ways to improve our planning procedures and increase the efficiency of our operation, which in turn leads to us achieving the key performance indicators.
