We are the co-founders of Desert Diamond Distillery in Kingman, Arizona, a family-owned craft distillery that has been producing award-winning spirits since opening to the public in 2010.Seventeen years ago, we chose Kingman because of its unique climate, its location along Historic Route 66, and the opportunity to build something special outside of a major metropolitan area. Our mission was simple: create exceptional spirits with a commitment to quality, patience, and authenticity.Over the years, Desert Diamond Distillery has earned multiple international awards and recognitions, including six major honors from the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) since 2020. Our Barrel Reserve Rum Aged Ten Years recently earned a Gold Outstanding Medal and a score of 98 points, placing it among only sixteen rums worldwide to achieve that distinction.John has always believed that rum deserves the same respect and craftsmanship often associated with fine whiskey. We age our spirits in new oak barrels, avoid added sugar, color, and flavoring, and allow time, climate, and the barrel to shape the final product.Today, visitors from around the world stop at Desert Diamond Distillery to enjoy tastings, tours, award-winning spirits, and the unique experience of dining in the historic Pullman Car #30 adjacent to the distillery.We remain passionate about entrepreneurship, tourism, craft spirits, and building memorable experiences that showcase the best of Arizona.
