Provides leadership for the camp to develop Christ-centered relationships, pursue God’s will, spread God’s Word, and stand firm with the church. Empowers the camp membership to put their God-given gifts into action and to share the Gospel wherever they go boldly. Responsibilities: • The overall performance of the camp and the Auxiliary in the camp. • The godly execution of all events and activities assigned to the camp. • Lead by example; participate in state association meetings, conferences, and conventions. • Oversee, lead, and direct the camp cabinet. • Promote attendance of camp members at state association convention. • Serve on the Area Team. • Nominate program chairmen, committees, and those to fill other needed functions with the concurrence of the other elected camp officers or the camp cabinet, whichever is appropriate. • Conduct business meetings in a timely manner, following Robert’s Rules of Order. • Prayerfully plan and preside over the monthly camp and cabinet meetings. • Serve as a member of the area team and attends the area team meetings under the leadership of the area director. Submits a written report on his camp’s activities, as needed. • Participate in the New Member Celebration Event for new Gideons. • Lead in all planning efforts in preparation for the ensuing year of activity and should complete the online Camp Goal Planner and the Camp Events Planner annually. • Attend the state association convention, especially the Saturday morning presidents’ breakfast, when he delivers his camp’s contribution to the Countdown 100 offering. • Responsible for the work and activities of the Auxiliary.
