Provided field service and sales for a Tier One Automotive supplier. Worked at customer facilities resolving product quality and application issues. Also worked with customer engineering staff on new part applications and testing. Trained assembly line operators on correct procedures for product application. Technical Advisor during launches of General Motors and Chrysler minivans and General Motors mid-size sedans. Responsible for daily maintenance of multiple high profile accounts.

Responsible for the design and analysis of new and modified railroad rolling stock. Worked both as Lead Design Engineer providing direction to team of drafting and support staff, and as part of an engineering team. Assured design compliance with applicable American Association of Railroads and Federal Railroad Administration Specifications. Analysis of vehicle structural modifications using classical and FEA methods to accommodate increased load capacity and/or alternate load configurations. Additional duties include performing field inspections of rail vehicles, establishing quality assurance programs, and project bid estimation. Extensive use of AutoCAD R12, NASTRAN for Windows, Lotus 123, Lotus WordPro, and FORTRAN programming.

Manage large capital improvement projects. Projects generally include multiple, large boiler installations using low-emission burners, PLC control systems, and energy economizing equipment. Requirements include reviewing customer specifications to ensure compliance and coordinating system design and supply between multiple manufacturers. Coordinate between customer, vendors, and internal departments to arrange production, shipment, start-up, and invoicing. Resolve any issues that arise during production or during and after start-up.
