About

My passion for Electrical & Computer Engineering started when I have completed my first research project in my life and gained a sense of accomplishment as a team leader. I felt proud of the outcome and believed it would make a positive impact on the future of computer and storage devices. In the meantime, the success of the project instilled in me the confidence to keep working in the domain. Owing to my strong passion in electronics, I was working closely with Dr.Peng Li as an undergraduate research assistant at the Quantum Spintronics Device Laboratory in Auburn University. The purpose of this research project is to explore possibilities of replacing silicon based logical gates by designing fast Skyrmion based logic gates. This work is becoming increasingly relevant today as silicon-based circuits are reaching their physical limit. As the project leader, I, along with my team, designed new Skyrmion based logic gates. This design is then simulated and verified using models we developed in Object Oriented Micromagnetic Framework. Finally, we presented this work in a paper named Effects of temperature and structural geometries on a skyrmion logic gate, which has been submitted to the IEEE Electron Device Letters. Moreover, In May 2020, I interned as an AI Trainer at Qingdao Xinxin Microelectronics Technology Co., Ltd (Hisense). There, I was involved in a project on speech algorithm development. This work allowed me to dabble in the field of Artificial Intelligence, specifically the internals of speech recognition chips. I learned to implement voice capture and classification in Python and got myself more familiarized with the Linux operating system. Besides having extensive experience in Internships and research projects, I am also learned a lot of professional skills like C++, Java, VHDL,Verilog, OOMMF, MATLAB, and HCS12C assembly during my undergraduate study. Therefore, I am confident that I will be overcome all the problems in my future’s career life because my solid background in both Electrical engineering and Computer Science!
