Jiaqian Li

I am a peptide and protein bioconjugation specialist with a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota and industry experience at a biotech startup in Cambridge, MA. My expertise spans synthetic chemistry, lipid-based conjugation, and analytical characterization techniques, including LC-MS, HPLC, DLS, SEC, and HIC. I have designed and optimized multiple lipid-peptide and lipid-protein conjugates for therapeutic delivery, with a strong focus on biophysical and biochemical properties such as plasma stability, forced degradation, and particle size. I also actively contribute to in vitro assays such as protein degradation, permeability testing, flow cytometry, SDS-PAGE fluorescence analysis, and ELISA. My goal is to transition to a Principal Scientist role within the next 3–5 years, ideally leading a team in R&D and continuing to drive innovation in drug delivery and bioconjugation. I’m actively developing leadership and communication skills to support this growth, and I am passionate about translating complex molecular designs into viable therapeutic solutions.
