My trial-focus began in law school. As an intern at the United States Attorney's Office in the Northern District of Illinois under Patrick Fitzgerald, I participated in my first trial successfully prosecuting a bank robbery. In law school, I was also selected to receive the Philip H. Corboy Fellowship in Trial Advocacy. As a part of this nationally competitive trial team, I was a Regional Champion and National Quarter-Finalist in 2009. I was also honored to serve as an Extern for the Honorable Judge Virginia Kendall in the Northern District of Illinois federal court and as a research assistant to the Honorable Judge Thomas Donnelly in the Circuit Court of Cook County. These positions provided me with a unique perspective regarding judicial practice and procedure in both the federal and state courts. Activities and Societies: Phillip H.
