Jen Butler
Community Manager @ Invisible Ink Books
About
I am the bestselling author of Mom, Rediscovered, a coming-of-middle-age memoir that was published by Invisible Ink Books on October 21, 2025. My book was a top new release and bestseller on Amazon and was also named to Zibby Owens’ Most Anticipated List for Fall 2025. I have recently joined Invisible Ink Books as the Community Manager, leading on social media, book conference and festival outreach, and author launch support. Before launching a career as an author, I worked almost exclusively in the nonprofit sector in the New York metro area and London. Previous positions include events management and strategy for London's Olympic Park Legacy Company, helping to ensure the legacy of the 2012 Games. I have also held fundraising roles at the American Museum of Natural History and Ethical Culture Fieldston School, securing annual and major gifts of up to $600,000 from a variety of donors. In addition to my professional experience, I have logged thousands of volunteer hours as a member of the Board of Directors of the Colon Cancer Foundation; the Fundraising Director of Hudson Valley Storm Flag Football; PTA Chair and Vice Chair of Roaring Brook Elementary School; and TCS NYC Marathon charity team manager for NYCMedics. I am passionate about health, wellness, and personal development. During the COVID-19 pandemic I became certified as a professional life and recovery coach. In my private coaching practice, I work one-to-one and in small groups with my female client base. I use motivational interviewing techniques, reflective listening, positive psychology, and other modalities to help my clients set SMART goals in life and sobriety. Areas of emphasis within my coaching practice include navigating life and career transitions; parenting; perfectionism; gray area drinking; and cultivating long-term sobriety. I am also a studio manager and fitness instructor at The Collective by JABFIT, and the author of Best Mom Never on Substack. I coach, write, and teach to encourage women (particularly moms) to practice self-compassion and forge cup-filling connections, empowering them to show up as their amazing, authentic selves in their families and communities.
