* Open, develop and head the 20th International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2014) local secretariat in Melbourne, Australia. * Hire and manage 20 staff, the office, finances and administration. * Represent the International AIDS Society and other AIDS 2014 partners locally and regionally. * Act as a link with Victorian Government, City of Melbourne and the Australian Society for HIV Medicine to ensure the city and country infrastructures are ready to welcome the conference. * Cultivate existing partnerships with key community, scientific and leadership partners and organizations. * Develop new partnerships with potential donors/sponsors. * My biggest achievement in this role has been to activate excellent partnerships throughout Melbourne and beyond to ensure all local stakeholders feel ownership for AIDS 2014. The offsite programme is the strongest we have ever deployed around an AIDS conference with more than 180 events throughout the conference week, all listed on the official conference website and mobile application.

* Responsible for the organization of monthly financial conferences – approx. 100 delegates from the Private Banking and Funds industry: * preparing events’ timelines, budgets and contracts * onsite coordination with hotels and various suppliers and service providers * main contact for speakers and sponsors * events promotion and media planning, website updates, coordination of all printed matters with the graphic designer and printer, preparation of e-mailings through the internal database

Started as Conference Assistant and moved to heading the Congress Department. Responsible for the planning and implementation of the logistics for the IAS Conferences on HIV Pathogenesis, Treatment and Prevention (6’000 delegates) and the International AIDS Conferences (20-25’000 delegates); developed necessary contracts, timelines and budgets; responsible for safety procedures, session rooms set-up & audio visual, catering, hotel accommodation, hostesses & volunteers (800 staff), interpretation services. In charge of a budget of USD 10 million managing twelve staff.
