Managing Director & Chief Legal Officer at TorQuest Partners, one of Canada's leading mid-market private equity firms. Oversee all legal and regulatory affairs at the firm, with a particular focus on investment transactions, fundraising and firmwide environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives, while also responsible for TorQuest's regulatory compliance program. Co-Chair of the Cambridge Forum on Private Equity M&A, an annual forum for leading deal lawyers active in private equity transactions. Over fifteen years' experience in M&A and private equity, including previous roles as investment counsel at the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, working principally with the fund’s private equity arm; as partner at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg in Toronto, in the M&A practice group; and as a private equity attorney at Latham & Watkins in New York. M.B.A. from the Rotman School of Management and J.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. Admitted to practice law in New York and Ontario.
